Down South

Well I am down south in Columbia South Carolina and I'm very happy to be close to my son. I amEnjoying the "small town" factor but I do miss NY and my family quite a bit. I especially miss the food. Otherwise I have taken up white water Kayaking and am enjoying it quite a bit it really takes my mind off of things. Otherwise just plugging along and looking to find a way :)

JAMIE LIDELL WAS EXCELLENT !

The Show was great !! We had an awesome time. First it was his birthday so the show started with a happy birthday to him. Otherwise WOW what a performance once again !! He is an extremely talented and passionate performer and it shines in so many ways. Jamie also has a few additions to the band, one being a new keyboardist that was great and had his own funky little presence on stage. The Gidge is now a huge fan and was so happy to have found a new artist with so much talent.
The show gets 5 stars from both of us. I will upload a video asap for ya !

Jamie Lidell tonight with The Gidge ! Good Times ! The Dude Rocks !

Tonight I will be attending the Jamie Lidell show at Webster hall. Thanks to The Gidge for getting me Tix for my birthday. So very kind of her, indeed. Jamie Lidell is a British artist who has recently moved to NY. His style is quite unique due to him being a skinny white guy that sounds like a young Stevie Wonder not only with his vocals but the tracks sound very Motown. Jamie Also is a mad man when it comes to playing with electronics so he always throws in some crazy loops that he throws down on the spot and tears it up. The best part about Jamie Lidell is that he has such an excellent energy on stage and you can tell how much fun he is having while performing. He has 2 albums, in 2008 he released JIM and in 2010 he released Compass. Beck does alot of production work with Jamie just so you know. I will follow up with my review of the show if I can figure out more to say about this man then I already have :)

Here he is walking around with his backup doing enough's enough. Very Cool :)

On Location doing a shoot of Jimmy Johnson with Richard Westlein.

I am on location in NYC doing a video shoot with Richard Westlien. We did a shoot of Jimmy Johnson, professional Nascar driver. He was being interviewed for his take on the Professional Bull Riding Association. We shot him in front of a green screen for the PBR to use during Broadcasts. It was a very interesting day and I am lucky to work with Richard Westlien who is as professional as it gets when it comes to all types of cinematography. Richard has 12 Emmy awards and is known for his brilliant work from ABC studios to documentaries in China. AWESOME !!

Recording sessions out the wazoo !

I have a nice recording setup in my home and have been recording several projects for a while now. Well, this week has been a busy one with people I have been recording with to musicians suddenly reconnecting out of nowhere. This has stepped up the process a bit and I am excited to soon be releasing my music. I cannot wait to throw down a track for all to hear.

Ok time to catch up ive been very busy but im back to BLOG !

So its been about 20 days since my first blog and im ashamed of myself for having too great of a time to get on here and share it with you. So to catch up on the MGMT show at Radio City Music Hall, IT WAS EXCELLENT !! I have to say the place had a very mixed crowd which I enjoyed intermingling with. The Performance was great they played everything you would expect them to play and more. I was surprised to see them play Siberian Breaks track 6 on the latest album Congratulations and is a 12 minute long song that takes you to the unexpected. Due to other hits like Time to Pretend, Kids and Electric Feel you can see followers passing by that song but it is awesome and should be heard through by anyone. There is a part that sounds like a tripped out mob movie theme song. When they finished playing Siberian Breaks Andrew VanWyngarden said "we like to play that" I guess too many people sat down. I attended the show with The Gidge who is awesome. She is a female I do things with , figure it out :)

The show gets a 5 star rating from me and I hope they come back soon I will post up the Congratulations video for you to view its GREAT !!
